Is Urban Action Academy a charter school?
-
No, Urban Action Academy is an "empowerment school," which means that we have more freedom than "regular" public schools. Among our special features are an innovative schedule and a partnership with The Institute for Student Achievement that provides us with extra resources, including a generous grant from The Gates Foundation.
Does Urban Action Academy have a uniform?
- No. We have a dress code, however. Students are not allowed to wear hats, and they must dress appropriately. For specific guidelines, email us.
